Taleqan Dam (also Talaqan Dam) is a hydroelectric dam in Iran with an installed electricity generating capability of 18 MW.^[1] It is one of the five main water sources for the Tehran metropolitan.^[1] it is situated in Alborz Province.^[2]^[3] downstream of Alborz province^[4] and incorporates a pipe line to Hashtgerd.^[5]

It was constructed between 2002 and 2006 on the Shahrud^[6] and Taleghan Rivers creating the Taleghan reservoir.^[7] The dam can hold 420 million cubic meters of water.^[1]
