Bastamlu (Persian: بسطاملو)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Bastamlu Rural District of the Central District of Khoda Afarin County,[4] East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 598 in 127 households, when it was in Khoda Afarin District of Kaleybar County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 563 people in 151 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Khoda Afarin County.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 465 people in 142 households.[2]
