- 14 January – 2023–2024 Sundhnúkur eruptions: The Reykjanes volcano erupts near the town of Grindavík, with one fissure forming inside the town limits.[1]
- 16 March – A state of emergency is issued in southwestern Iceland after another volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula.[2][3]
- 29 May – The town of Grindavik and the Blue Lagoon are evacuated following volcanic activity.[4]
